The Envirotec Destratification Fan Unit improves heat distribution in large spaces, making the most of the heating system in the building. Our destratification unit mixes the air and produces a homogenous heating profile, bringing the hot air collecting at the ceiling down to where it is needed.
If businesses care about the planet and want to tick ESG boxes these units are a must have addition to their infrastructure – low cost, high benefit.

Tailored Solutions: Envirotec’s Range of Destratification Units
The destratification fans come in three levels of performance and mounting height to enable single or multi height configurations. The units are similar in appearance, if that matters within an installation, and different in how they de-stratify the air.
Units come with on-board controls as standard or with remote controls to meet customer specification. More sophisticated controls to enable control of arrays of units are available subject to a design consultation fee.

The Science Behind Envirotec’s Destratification Fan Units
Stratification is a natural process and occurs in all buildings unless counter measures are implemented, usually at a rate of roughly 1°C per meter. Stratified air wastes large amounts of energy, with the cold air collecting in the first 2 meters where we want to heat, and the hot air rising to the ceiling and escaping. This results in having to overheat the building to achieve desired results where we need them.
Envirotec units create and control the vertical plumes’ volume, velocity and shape to meet the requirements of the buildings space – a narrow plume for buildings with racking, a wider plume for more open spaces.
Envirotec destratification units fix the problem. Our units are inexpensive, highly effective, efficient, simple to install and minimum maintenance.

Destratification Fan FAQs
Air stratification means that hot layers of air at ceiling height is where the air that heating delivers at head height constantly rises to the underside of the roof and during those 7 months of cool outside temperatures when warmer ceiling air cools and drops to floor level. It makes commercial sense to control that process to reduce the cost of heating especially when doing so is relatively easy and very cost effective with Envirotec’s range of destratification units.
De-stratifying in Envirotec’s terminology is the process of collecting warm air at high level and delivering the same air via a vertical downward plume – the opposite effect of a thermal of air, or a thermocline of fluid.
